Business mission to Iran

The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) in cooperation with the Slovak Embassy in Tehran and the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic co-organized a business mission to Iran in the context of the first meeting of the Joint Economic Committee on 23rd May 2022. Official visit by State Secretary J. Oravec added an economic aspect of mutual relations and followed up on the recently realized working visit of State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic I. Brocková to Iran.

The official visit of State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic J. Oravec brought the opportunity for the Slovak companies to establish direct contacts with the Iranian entrepreneurs from several sectors such as energy, wholesale services and food industry or wood processing and furniture production. SARIO, in cooperation with the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture of Iran, has prepared a business forum for the business delegation, which has attracted the interest of more than thirty Iranian companies, institutions and professional associations.


- Reception of the Slovak delegation by the Mayor of Kashancity Hassan Bakhshandeh

During the official visit, several meetings took place, of which a significant contribution was achieved by reception by the Mayor of the trading city of Kashan H. Bakhshandeh. During the reception, not only promising sectors such as smart cities were communicated, but also opportunities for establishing cooperation at within regional administration  between the Slovak cities and Kashan. An equally important meeting was the reception of the Iranian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy, M. Safari.
