Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) cooperates with regional, municipal, and local governments. Representatives of the agency are regularly meeting with local authorities to consult further regional development, maps available real estate in regions, and consult support of investments.On June 6, .2020 the coordination meeting between SARIO and the representatives of the City of Handlova has taken place. The discussion has been about the ways to support the transformation of the Upper Nitra Region.Also, the consultants of the agency have attended the sighting of the Upper Nitra coal mining site, consulting the possibilities of its further use after planned mining termination.In the coming months, further meetings with representatives of local governments in the Upper Nitra Region will take place to coordinate activities within the agenda of transformation of the region due to the termination of coal mining.Moreover, the agency is also preparing an activity focusing on connecting local governments with central government institutions in order to achieve the most efficient use of available European Union.
