Slovakia at the International Defence Exhibition IDEX 2021 The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) within the National project “Support of internationalization of SMEs” in the period from 21st to 25th February 2021, prepared a platform for six Slovak small and medium enterprises for their presentation within the joint exposition according to Slovakia’s visual brand GOOD IDEA SLOVAKIA at the international defence exhibition IDEX 2021, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. IDEX is the only international defence technology exhibition in the Middle East and MENA region. More than 900 exhibitors from 59 countries around the world had the opportunity to present the latest technologies for land, naval and air forces in the exhibition area of more than 155,000 m2, despite the current global situation with the spreading of the COVID-19 pandemic. Slovakia thus ranked among the 35 countries that presented the national exposition at the fair. More than 62,000 visitors took part in this year's fair. IDEX was organized under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and is organised by the Capital Events in association and with the full support of the UAE Armed Forces.The companies Filter Technik Slovakia, Grand Power, Milan Buchel MB Sport - METRODAT, S.M.S, T-Industry, Zepelin - NIXUS presented their business activities within the joint Slovak exposition. The purpose of the participation of Slovak companies in the joint national Slovak exposition was the possibility of presenting their business activities and introducing the variety of their products to foreign partners, as well as establishing business contacts with the aim of closing business contracts and export of their products abroad.The importance of the Slovak participation at the international fair IDEX 2021 was supported also by the presence of the Minister of Defence of the Slovak Republic, Jaroslav Naď and H. E. Michal Kováč Ambassador-Designate of the Slovak republic in Abu Dhabi who, during their visit to the joint exposition, discussed with each representative of the participating companies about their production program and possibilities of entering the market of the United Arab Emirates.The current schedule of supported fairs and exhibitions for the year 2021 is available at this link.
