Slovak Start-Up Development Program

It is an innovative project initiative of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO). The main intent of this project is to create mechanism of support and development for the innovative and technology oriented firms from Slovakia in order to simplify their future entry to the world market. The aim is also  to facilitate transfer of innovative know-how, technology and capital by attracting high-tech investments to Slovakia.

6.11-10.11.2011 - selection of top 10 companies

17.11.2011 - official announcment of top four winners, who will get flight ticket to Silicon Valley.

The project is divided into three basic stages: 
 

• The selection process - in process, described above
   
• Slovak preparatory program - preparation of selected companies or projects to participate in the acceleration program in the U.S. This phase will be executed in Slovakia.
   
• Stay in the Plug and Play Tech Center - this program shall enable Slovak companies to establish themselves at the american market, create business partnerships, find investors etc. From January 2012 Slovak pavilion titled Slovak Training Innovation Center - STIC will be established.

Estimated duration of the project Slovak Start-Up Development Program is by the end of 2012.
