The main intent of this project is to create mechanism of support and development for the innovative and technology oriented firms from Slovakia in order to simplify their future entry to the world market. The aim is also to facilitate transfer of innovative know-how, technology and capital by attracting high-tech investments to Slovakia. Slovak Startup Awards 2011 is historically first startup competition to be held in Slovakia. The first four participants of the Slovak Start-up Development Program will be chosen from among 11 finalists of the Slovak Startup Awards on 17 November 2011 in Bratislava. The event will showcase the most innovative Slovak startups and identify companies with the greatest potential to succeed in global markets. The pitching event and the award ceremony are held with the generous support of Dell, which has initiated the efforts leading up to the organization of the event. The event is also supported by KPMG. The main prize a fully funded placement in the Plug and Play Tech Center is being presented by SARIO and the Slovak Start-up Development Program. Neulogy has provided organizational support and expertise in startup development to the main event partners. „Startup Awards“ giving ceremony will take place on 17 November 2011 in Bratislava, Heineken Tower Stage. Selection process will be completed by gala evening, where the expert jury declares four best innovative companies from Slovakia. The main prize is three month stay in the Plug and Play Tech Center in Silicon Valley, USA, which ensures SARIO agency within the Slovak Start-up development program.
