Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency National Project Department, organized a business mission to the USA at the beginning of January (January 5-10, 2023) on the occasion of one of the largest technological conferences in the world, CES 2023.The conference was held in Las Vegas, Nevada and 12 Slovak small and medium enterprises participated (10 within the SARIO mission and 2 under the auspices of Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Washington). The main part of the program was participation in the CES conference, which annually brings the latest technological achievements and innovations that have the potential to change established practices in diverse sectors and industries.In cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Washington, we have facilitated meetings with the Economic Department of the City of Las Vegas for Slovak companies, as well as a tour of the international innovation centre, where we had the opportunity to look behind the curtain of the city's functioning in the field of technology and innovation, as well as to gain new contacts.Individual SMEs also had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the state of Indiana, who deal with innovations in industrial production and logistics, which can again bring Slovak companies a lot of contacts and opportunities for the development of business activities in the future.Consultations with the Economic Diplomat M. Sopkovičová, were an equally important part of the program, where she personally introduced specifics of the US market and possibilities and opportunities that this market brings for foreign companies. The business mission was evaluated very positively and, according to the feedback of individual participants, the mission met their expectations. Some companies have already indicated the potential possibility of future development of their activities in this market based on the contacts obtained during the business mission.
