Business mission to Dresden

On the 12th - 13th November 2024, a business mission to Dresden, organized by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Berlin and the partner organization IHK Dresden took place.

During two days, representatives of the Slovak companies sectorally focused on the metalworking industry, 3D printing and additive manufacturing visited 3 German companies, participated in the Saxon-Slovak evening and established valuable contacts with German companies and organizations.

As part of the mission, they visited innovative and at the same time inspiring local companies. As first, they have visited H+E Produktentwicklung GmbH, whose manager presented the mission participants with a range of activities focusing on custom production with 3D printing, their own range of products in the field of interior design and took them through the production premises.

Subsequently, they moved to the company Sander Kunstofftechnik GmbH, focused on the production of prototypes mainly from plastic, either by 3D printing, injection or milling.

The work program of the first day was completed by the Saxon-Slovak evening event, where the representatives of IHK Dresden presented their services and the areas in which they can help Slovak companies establish themselves on the German market. Slovak companies had the opportunity to present themselves and share their experiences with the German market. At the end, negotiations took place between the Slovak and German representatives and they exchanged contacts for further cooperation.

The business mission ended with a visit to the Fraunhofer Institute, which is the largest institute for applied research in Europe. The participants had the opportunity to see the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology in Zittau, which is dedicated to research and development in the field of machine tools and forming materials. As part of the tour, the most modern but also the biggest machines for 3D printing, pressing and injection molding, which are used not only for research but also commercially, were presented.
