Business mission to Ekaterinburg

Business mission to Ekaterinburg on the occasion of the INNOPROM 2021 Fair.
 
From July 5th to July 8th, 2021, SARIO, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Moscow, carried out a business mission to Ekaterinburg on the occasion of the INNOPROM 2021 Fair. The program of the first day consisted of a business forum, which was attended by 5 Slovak entrepreneurial entities, especially from the field of the engineering as well as the product certification.
 
The program of the first day included a busines forum. Subsequently, there was a visit to 2 plants based in the city of Yekaterinburg: the SVEL company (manufacturer of the complete solutions in the field of the electrical equipment) and the RCLT company (laser processing of metals, especially processing of the titanium). During the visit to the plants, individual Slovak companies presented their activities as well as their interest in the territory and, in particular, their vision of the cooperation with these Russian plants. Some of them had already established the contact. The visit to the plants was carried out in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Sverdlovsk Region (Ural TPP), which is one of the strongest chambers of commerce in the whole Russian Federation. In the course of the business mission, there was a meeting of the Slovak business entities with the Commercial Representative of the Russian Federation in Slovakia,
Mr. S. Stupar.
 
A significant part of the program during the second day was a visit to the INNOPROM 2021 Fair, which had been postponed from the last year because of the pandemic situation.
The event was attended by the representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, for instance by Prime Minister M. Mishustin and Minister of Industry and Trade D. Manturov as well as by the representatives of the regional administrations and the representatives of the major companies operating in Ekaterinburg or in the wider Sverdlovsk region. The main foreign partner of the exhibition was Italy.

As many as 20,000 people both visitors and delegates have attended the event this year. The organizers counted around 1,800 participating companies and bodies, of which 500 were foreign partners/companies.

The Slovak delegation at INNOPROM comprised 5 companies that are endeavoured to develop the cooperation with the region of Sverdlovsk. Most companies have been present and have been doing business in the territory for a longer time. As part of the visit to INNOPROM, an additional meeting of the Slovak and the Russian companies, interested in finding partners in the CEE region, took place at the stand of the Russian Export Center (REC). Generally speaking, the Slovak companies managed to establish more than 40 new contacts, new contacts were set up especially at the fair.
 
The fair as well as the entire business mission was organized in compliance with all the anti-pandemic measures.
