The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), within the framework of the National Project “Support for the Internationalization of SMEs 2”, in cooperation with the Foreign Trade Department, organized a business mission to India from February 17 to 23, 2025. During this mission, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) participated in the International Engineering & Technology Fair (IETF) 2025, a leading technological event.

A total of 15 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) took part in the mission: BARANI DESIGN, Decent Cybersecurity, Frašták, ICS Ice Cleaning Systems, K-KART, Kodiva, PLQ Development, Polyplast výrobné družstvo Pliešovce, Pressburg Partners Production, Rodinné Stolárstvo, ServiceS, Schengen Residence, SOLAR Invest, Training & Consulting, and WESTBRIDGE.

For the business delegation, SARIO, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Delhi and in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), organized a business forum during the 12th session of the Intergovernmental Commission between the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India. Slovak companies, representing information and communication technologies, cybersecurity, energy, engineering, and other sectors, participated in more than 100 B2B meetings with over 50 Indian business entities.

The program continued with the “Doing Business in India” seminar, which introduced Slovak entrepreneurs to the legislative environment, regulatory frameworks, and practical recommendations for starting a business in India through three expert panels. The seminar concluded with a reception at the premises of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Delhi, where participating entrepreneurs had the opportunity to network with invited Indian companies.

During the last three days, SME representatives participated in meetings and B2B negotiations at IETF, where they also had the opportunity to present their companies and business objectives to Indian partners at the SARIO joint exhibition booth.

The business mission to India provided Slovak SMEs with a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with the legal aspects of doing business in India, establish new business partnerships, and advance their export plans towards achieving their trade objectives.
