GlobalTags News Foreign trade Investments USA On May 23-26, 2024, a business visit of the Slovak delegation led by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Kamil Šaško, took place at the Indiana Global Economic Summit 2024 (IGES) event in Indianapolis, USA. The IGES 2024 Summit was attended by more than 800 participants and delegations from 31 countries. The summit was held under the auspices of the acting governor of the state of Indiana, Eric J. Holcomb. With the American state of Indiana, Slovakia has long-standing close cooperation in the field of defense and security and, based on a government memorandum signed in 2018, also in the field of economic relations and mutual networing of business entities.The main points of the delegation's program were the participation of the State Secretary of the Ministry of the Economy of the SR K. Šaško in a panel discussion on the topic "Pragmatic Pathways to the Green Economy", a bilateral meeting of the delegation with Governor Holcomb and the participation of Slovak companies in accompanying B2B / B2G networking events, organized mainly by Indiana Economic Development Corporation.In addition to the representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the SR and the Director General of SARIO R. Šimončič, the delegation also included top representatives of the Emabssy of the SR in Washington D.C. H.E. R. Javorčík, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of the SR I. Melicher, the Director General of EXIMBANKA R. Podhorec, as well as representatives of four Slovak business entities - ColGrow Business Solutions, DimensionLab, Institute of Informatics SAS, Zero Emission Company.
