Business mission to Wales

The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in London, Welsh Government and the Honorary Consul of Slovakia in Wales organized business mission to Wales on July 9 – 12, 2023. 

7 Slovak delegates took part in the business mission focused on the circular economy and health innovations. Slovak companies had the opportunity to present their products and solutions and establish new contacts in the Life Sciences Hub and in the Cardiff Business Club (CBC), where the business and investment potential of Slovakia was presented, as well as the activities of the SARIO agency. More than 100 Welsh representatives from various companies and institutions attended the event with negotiations at B2B and B2G level. During the evening event at Eversheds Sutherland, Slovak companies received information regarding the conditions for entering the UK market in terms of business opportunities, legal and tax aspects. At the end, the participants were also answered individual questions.

Valuable information from the circular economy and healthcare sector was also obtained by the participants during a visit of Swansea University at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Institute of Life Sciences and University of Wales Trinity St Davids Innovation Center supplemented by other individual B2B negotiations.
