The CEE Business Services Summit and Awards took place on March 23-24, 2022, and was attended by representatives of 129 companies (BSC) from Central and Eastern Europe. The 10th jubilee year of the conference also included a gala evening, associated with the award ceremony in 29 categories. Regarding Slovak companies, a total of nine companies were nominated within six categories, and three Slovak companies were awarded: Best University-Business Cooperation of the Year - ON Semiconductor a.s.Top Process - Automation Implementation of the Year - LafargeHolcim European Business Services Business Services Firm of the Year - Slovakia - ING Business Shared Services The first day of the conference was held in the spirit of presentations of nominated companies in individual categories, the presentation of best practices and the main presentation was the introduction of the company justjoin.IT, which is engaged in IT recruiting. The Slovak companies that presented themselves are LafargeHolcim (category Top Process-Automation Implementation of the Year) and ING Business Shared Services Bratislava (category Business Services Center of the Year - Slovakia).Participants also had space for informal networking during the opening reception. The first day included a conference and a dinner for jurors, which was attended by Soňa Markechová, senior consultant of the Investment Projects Department SARIO as a member of the official jury. During the second day of the conference, several panel discussions took place, including a discussion about the virtual workplace and the challenges, motivation of employees, and benefits of this setting. The topic was also continuity, planning, and cyber security (its strengthening, use and implementation of suitable platforms) and process automation and its associated benefits, but also risks. The conference closed with a panel on the BSC sector in Ukraine and how companies are adapting to the current situation in Ukraine. PwC, based in Lviv, Ukraine, shared its experience. The conference was closed by a gala evening, during which the awards ceremony took place. Soňa Markechová, SARIO Senior Consultant presented the award for the Business Services Firm of the Year - Slovakia category to ING Business Shared Services, and the award ceremony was followed by networking with conference participants. Possible expansion plans and overall satisfaction with the business environment were discussed with the addressed companies.
