The CEO of SARIO spoke at the AmCham Conference

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic (AmCham), a conference was held on September 12, 2024, on the topic What Will the Future of Work Look Like in the Age of Artificial Intelligence? The goal of the event was to explore how current megatrends are shaping a sustainable future.

One of the main topics was the future of the labor market and the impact of artificial intelligence on traditional work patterns and habits. SARIO CEO Robert Šimončič participated in the discussion panel, providing valuable insights into the role of shared business service centers in this transformation.

When asked how BSCF member companies can contribute to improving the investment environment in Slovakia and what role SARIO plays in this, Robert Šimončič said, "Established service centers have a key role in the creation of added value and qualified jobs in Slovakia, while also accelerating the digital transformation of the country. It has proven successful for us to actively promote the potential of Slovakia and cooperate on measures aimed at solving the problems of the centers (employment of foreigners, adjustment of educational fields). Thanks to this, we are currently working on 8 projects that could create 1,400 new jobs".

The expert panel was led by Ivan Tomko, Vice President of the BSCF platform, and also included  Rastislav Chovanec, State Secretary of the MFEA SR, who highlighted the growth potential of the sector of shared business centers and their contribution to industries, and Marián Valentovič, State Secretary of the MSAF SR, who emphasized the ministry's flexible responses to challenges associated with digitization and innovations in the work environment.

The Business Service Center Forum (BSCF) platform of the American Chamber of Commerce represents shared service centers, which are the third-largest sector of the national economy in terms of state budget revenue, employing nearly 37,000 highly skilled people. These centers generate 3% of all of Slovakia's income and are at the forefront of changes related to the evolving nature of work.

The AmCham conference provided valuable stimuli for further development and innovation in the field of work and employment, clearly showing that adaptation to new technologies and practices is essential to ensure competitiveness and sustainable growth.
