On February 14, the French-Slovak Chamber of Commerce (FSOK) organized an online seminar related to 'Current conditions of investment aid and relocation of citizens from third countries', in which representatives of the Investment projects department of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) also participated. The webinar was aimed at the FSOK members.The first part of the webinar, in addition to the presentation of the SARIO agency's services, was primarily devoted to the recent changes in the investment aid scheme, which have been in force since the beginning of 2023. This scheme is relevant not only for new potential investors from France but also for French companies that already operate in Slovakia and are interested in expanding their activities in the field of industrial production, technology centers, or business service centers.In the second part, the Regulation of the Government of the Slovak Republic 269/2022 Coll. on the interest of the Slovak Republic in granting national visas to relocated nationals from a third country and their family members was presented. This relatively new regulation significantly simplifies the employment of experts from non-EU countries, both from the perspective of bureaucratic burden or length of the visa processing process.
