GlobalTags News Seminar Investments On February 27, 2024, an investment seminar aimed at the presentation of the potential of the Banská Bystrica Region was held in Bratislava. The event was organized by SARIO together with Banská Bystrica Self-Governing Region (BBSGR) and AmCham. The seminar was primarily intended for business service centers, but also for IT companies or other companies providing services, which might be considering expansion into the regions. The speakers aimed to point out available talent, an ecosystem of educational institutions, attractive offices, and great opportunities to keep a work-life balance.The event was opened by Ondrej Lunter, the Chairman of (BBSGR), who highlighted the advantages of the region, as well as identified the areas where the region might assist potential investors. His speech was complemented by the presentation of Mariana Badínská, Manager of Business Development of BBSGR, who focused on secondary education, especially bilingual schools, and the attractiveness of the region by highlighting work-life balance. Current data related to the labor force in the region, the number of students and graduates and their success in the labor market were provided by Michal Mešťan, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Jana Lubyová, Deputy Director of the Secondary School of Jozef Murgaš in Banská Bystrica, and Martin Menšík, Director of the communication department of Profesia.sk portal.Last but not least, a success story of the established BSC center in the region was presented by Simona Bulíková, senior project manager of IBM Slovakia in Banská Bystrica. At the end of the event, Stanislava Plascencia Lubinová, senior consultant of the investment projects department of SARIO presented the conditions of the investment incentives for investors in the BSC sector, as well as an overview of office and coworking spaces in Banská Bystrica and Lučenac, and the services that SARIO provides to potential investors.The event attracted around 40 participants, who had the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about the Banská Bystrica region through the series of short and insightful presentations of regional representatives, established businesses, and public officials.
