The official visit of a Philippine delegation to Slovakia

On April 25, 2024, on the occasion of the official visit of a Philippine delegation to Slovakia, the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency, in cooperation with the Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Slovakia, Pavol Konštiak, organized a business forum with the aim of outlining and deepening mutual trade relations between our countries. 

The Philippine delegation consisted of companies and institutions mainly from the field of electrical engineering and automotive, where we see great potential for cooperation, not only in terms of exports, but also imports. The Slovak part was represented by 25 companies that have not yet developed activities with this country, but see great potential in it. 

During the business forum, Philippine company representatives were able to gain valuable information about the business environment in Slovakia and the automotive industry. On the other hand, representatives of Slovak companies were presented with information about the electrical engineering and mechanical engineering industry in the Philippines, in addition to promising areas of cooperation. During informal networking, individual companies had the opportunity to present their unique products and services, and discuss possibilities for future collaboration. 

In the afternoon, the Filipino delegation visited the Volkswagen production plant and then moved on to the dinner and networking organized by the honorary consul. The next day, the delegation attended a similar program in Austria. In conclusion, the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines gave thanks to this mission and its preparation and supported the idea of organizing a reciprocal mission to the Philippines.
