GlobalTags News China Business mission Investments Foreign trade The SARIO Agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Beijing and the Consulate General in Shanghai organized the largest business mission to China (Beijing, Shanghai) on November 1-5, 2024.The official state delegation was led by the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic together with eight ministers, including the Deputy Prime Ministers of the Slovak Republic. The business delegation was represented by 71 entrepreneurs from 54 companies, who participated in three business forums during the mission and had approximately 500 B2B/B2G meetings with almost 230 representatives of the Chinese state and business sector.The Slovak-Chinese Business Forum was held in Beijing on November 1, 2024, which was attended by 120 Chinese companies. The event prepared in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Beijing, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) was opened by the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico with his speech. General director Robert Simoncič presented the services of the SARIO agency. Also presented were the success stories of the Chinese company Leyard Group in Slovakia and Antik Telekom in China, as well as the services of Eximbanka SR. During the ceremony, 7 memoranda of cooperation between Slovak and Chinese companies were signed. Subsequently, Slovak companies completed business negotiations, of which approximately 200 were completed.The second business forum was held on November 2, 2024, also in Beijing. The SARIO agency, in cooperation with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), prepared another round of business negotiations for Slovak entrepreneurs. B2B and B2G negotiations between Chinese and Slovak companies followed the opening speeches of SARIO CEO Robert Simoncic and the CCCME representative. As a result of the business forum, which was attended by 28 Chinese companies, almost 80 B2B and B2G meetings were held.Slovakia - Shanghai Business Seminar was held on November 4, 2024 in Shanghai with the presence of approximately 78 Chinese companies. The main co-organizer for the SARIO agency and the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Shanghai was the local partner China Council for Promotion of International Trade - Pudong (CCPIT-Pudong), with which the SARIO agency signed a memorandum of understanding during the official part, which will deepen cooperation in the future. The business seminar was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Environment T. Taraba. This was followed by presentations of the services of the SARIO agency by S. Jurkovičová from the Department of Investment Projects and Eximbanka SR. Successful experiences from practice, within the framework of Chinese-Slovak cooperation, were presented by the Slovak company Virtual Medicine and the Chinese company Jingsu Xinquan Automotive. The result of the business forum was approximately 200 B2B meetings between Slovak and Chinese companies and the signing of six cooperation memoranda.The work program of the business mission in Shanghai also included a visit to ZTE Corporation, a Chinese company operating in the field of communication technologies.On November 5, 2024 in Shanghai, a business delegation participated in the opening of the national stand at the China International Import Expo 2024 by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic Denisa Sakova and CEO SARIO Robert Simoncic.
