GlobalTags News Foreign trade Cooperation events Ukrajina SARIO agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for the Recovery and Resilience Plan and European funds organized the first Slovak-Ukrainian business forum on Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Košice. The forum was held during the 6th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Industrial and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between the Slovak Republic and Ukraine. The commission was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Peter Kmec and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Ukrainian Government Julia Svyrydenko.During the official opening, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic P. Kmec, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture UA T. Kachka and the State Secretary of the Ministry of the Slovak Republic V. Šimoňák participated in a panel discussion on the topic of the renewal of Ukraine and the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries, or the potential for development of border regions.Subsequently, the participants were provided with business presentations managed by the SARIO agency and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry aimed not only at presenting the domestic business environments of Slovakia and Ukraine, but also tools for supporting trade between the two countries, presented by EXIMBANKA SR. The series of presentations was extended by the inputs of the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction and the European Investment Bank.The forum was attended by more than a hundred participants representing 79 Slovak and 21 Ukrainian entities, who had the opportunity to hold dozens of B2B meetings. Since the outbreak of the conflict, the SARIO agency has organised six business events with the aim of establishing contacts directly in the territory of Ukraine and also ensuring the participation of Slovak businessmen on international platforms aimed at the reconstruction of Ukraine.
