GlobalTags News Foreign trade Business mission Denmark IT The SARIO agency, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Copenahgen, gave nine Slovak companies the opportunity to participate in the most famous two-day technology conference in Copenhagen on September 11th and 12th, 2024. TECHBBQ presents the latest trends in technological development across various sectors. The event, held in the former locomotive factory, attracted eight thousand participants not only from Scandinavian countries. In addition to innovative ideas, representatives of important multinational ICT companies and investors in Slovakia, such as Velux, were present at the event.The Slovak business delegation was made up of nine companies operating mainly in the sector of information and communication technologies (software and application development), electromobility, healthtech and shared transport. On the first day of the program, the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Copenhagen organized a reception for Slovak businessmen and a meeting with the local diaspore community active in Danish business.In addition to the possibility of extensive networking on the first day of the conference, the participants of the Slovak delegation could utilize the TECHBBQ B2B app or take part in various expert panel discussions on their own initiative.In addition to the possibility of extensive networking on the first day of the conference, the participants of the Slovak delegation could utilize the TECHBBQ B2B app or take part in various expert panel discussions on their own initiative.The second day of the program provided space for the presentation of the participating companies during the official program in the form of the so-called "Garden Sessions" in the gardens of the Lokomotivværkstedet factory. During these blocks, a presentation by SARIO was given, which pointed out the high interest of Nordic companies in operating on the Slovak market, especially in the form of foreign direct investments (Velux, Danfoss and many others). Subsequently, the companies presented themselves in the form of short presentations to the audience in order to increase awareness of modern and growing sectors of the Slovak economy.It can be difficult for Slovak companies to establish themselves in the Nordic markets, because the expectations of the local business community reflect the maturity of these markets. In conclusion, it can be noted that despite the existing competition and the demands of these markets, they still provide significant scope for the application of Slovak goods, services and solutions, and Slovakia is also a promising destination for further investment inflows from the Nordic countries.
