Location Bratislava On June 10-13, 2013 the 6th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and a business mission organized by SARIO took place in Astana. The event was attended by 28 Slovak companies willing to develop their relations with Kazakhstan. The representatives of these companies had the opportunity to not only attend individual business meetings and the international commission, but also two business forums in Astana and Karagand, where they were able to directly network with local companies. On average, all businessmen attended 120 negotiations, resulting in the signature of several memoranda of cooperation. The business forums included presentations by Kazakh experts, who reported on investment opportunities in the following fields: - Development of green technologies and transfer of know-how - Energy sector (reconstruction of the electrical grid, building and reconstruction of power-plants) - Tourism (the possibility of receiving subsidies, mainly for skiing resorts in Kazakhstan and investments in the Slovak spa sector) - Investments into the China – Europe Highway project In case of any business-related questions concerning Kazakhstan, please contact our project manager at: pavol.cobirka@sario.sk
