GlobalTags News Business mission Dubai Green Energy The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency organized a business mission to Dubai, United Arab Emirates from November 30 to December 2, 2023, on the occasion of the official visit of the President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová, to the COP28 world conference dedicated to measures in the field of climate.The business delegation consisted of 16 companies from areas corresponding to the topics of the global summit, such as the use of renewable energy sources, electromobility, biofuels, photovoltaics, and ESG.On the first day, representatives of Slovak companies had the opportunity to have an official tour of the largest centers (hubs) within the Expo City area with the topics of innovative technologies, energy transition, and science. Given the importance of the global significance of the COP28 platform, key players from Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, as well as the whole world (Mubadala, Masdar, Dubai Municipality, DEWA, UAE Ministry of Industry, and Advanced Technology) were here. An important part of the first day of the mission was a business event, where President Zuzana Čaputová, accompanied by Vladimír Šimoňák, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, greeted Slovak businessmen. Subsequently, the companies had negotiations with a representative of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, to whom they presented their focus and business plans in the territory.During the second day of the mission, receptions were prepared for the Slovak business delegation at the Vision, House of Sustainability pavilions and the Saudi Arabian National pavilion, which was expanded to include an exhibition section dedicated primarily to specific technological solutions in the field of energy transformation. During the first two days, the exhibition was intended only for guests, among whom there were also Slovak businessmen, from December 3rd – December 12, 2023, the Expo City area is also open to the general public.
