From May 18th to May 20th, 2022, the SARIO agency, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Baku, carried out a Slovak national stand under the heading "Good Idea Slovakia" from the funds of Project of Economic Diplomacy. The main aim of the event was to present Slovak business entities at the international agricultural exhibition called InterFood 2022 Azerbaijan.As many as 5 Slovak companies, in particular from the food industry (jams, chocolate, healthy nutrition as well as mineral water) - LYRA GROUP, RISO-R, Pure Nuts, LIMO ŠPES took part in the exhibition. Likewise, a well-known company called PSS Svidník, which develops the meat and food processing technologies and that has long been present and active in the CEE countries, presented itself at the Slovak national stand.During the exhibition, a total number of 19 B2B meetings have been conducted with the representatives of Azerbaijani companies, provided through the local state agency AZ PROMO, which has a wide network of contacts, especially in the field of SMEs. Slovak companies attended meetings with Azerbaijani distributors in large retail chains as well as supermarkets - Bravo, Rahat Market, Global Food Company and Industrial Solutions.On the first day, the Slovak national stand was also visited by the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov. After the exhibition, the head of Slovak Embassy, H.E. Mr. Milan Lajčiak, received a delegation of Slovak entrepreneurs in the premises of the Slovak Embassy. He introduced the potential of the country in the sphere of economic diplomacy.
