Slovak-Hungarian Business Forum

The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency in cooperation with the Embassy of Hungary in Bratislava and the Central European Non-Profit Network for Economic Development (CED) organized the next edition of the Slovak-Hungarian Business Forum which took place on June 13 2024 in the Saffron Hotel in Bratislava. 

The event, held as part of the 10th edition of the Hungarian Culture Week in Bratislava "More than a Neighbour", was opened by the Ambassador of Hungary to the Slovak Republic, Balogh Csaba, and was followed by the opening remarks by the Director of the Foreign Trade Department of SARIO, Egon Zorád, and the Director of Export Development of CED, Adrienn Apró. 

During the event, participants were informed about the possibilities of financing their activities through direct EU funding sources, as well as about the possibilities of financing projects through the Blue Planet Venture Capital Funds, which is targeted at supporting companies striving to achieve sustainable goals, reduce emissions, improve quality of life, produce renewable energy, increase energy storage, transport and efficiency, or address global water issues.

This year's Slovak-Hungarian Business Forum attracted representatives of more than 170 companies from sectors such as food industry, IT and ICT, construction, pharmaceuticals, engineering, etc., which together attended more than 500 B2B meetings. The significant, more than double, increase in the number of participants compared to the previous edition of the Forum confirms the growing interest of Slovak and Hungarian companies in the development of cross-border business cooperation. The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency will reflect this demand and continue to strengthen partnerships with its Hungarian counterparts.
