More than 100 leading experts, companies, and relevant institutions gathered to discuss the key challenges and opportunities facing Slovak industry. The event also facilitated hundreds of business negotiations on-site.Since its inception, the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) has welcomed more than 6,400 participants from 47 countries at Slovak Industry VISION Day, hosting over 10,900 business meetings. This platform provides a vital space for information sharing, bilateral negotiations, and the establishment of new business partnerships. This year’s event focused on the energetics sector, exploring energy sources, value chains, and financing solutions applicable across various industries.“The Slovak Industry VISION Day 2024 allows participants to share the latest know-how, inspirations, and concrete case studies on current topics that form the foundation of Slovakia's future competitiveness,” said Robert Šimončič, CEO of SARIO.“Slovak industry is one of the pillars of our economy, and its competitiveness and innovation potential are crucial for our future. I am pleased that we have a platform with a long-standing tradition of exchanging experiences, which this year focused on challenges and strategies in the energy sector. These topics are also vital from the perspective of the business sector. I believe the discussions at this event will benefit not only experts and Slovak companies but also inform future decision-making in the energy policy of the Slovak Republic,” said Szabolcs Hodosy, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.Panel discussions addressed innovations and recycling in the automotive industry, sustainable energy solutions, and industrial safety, presenting a vision for the future of industry. In the afternoon, 114 participants discussed specific cooperation and new opportunities in foreign markets within the framework of 226 business negotiations (B2B) with each other, with event partners, and with representatives of foreign chambers of commerce in Slovakia.The event continues to enjoy the long-term support of its general partner, the Czech-Slovak Commercial Bank (ČSOB).“Although it may not seem apparent at first glance, industry, including the energy sector, has much in common with banking. Both sectors must navigate current challenges to survive in the market, keep up with innovations, and adapt to the variability of external environments. We value that this forum fosters discussions and meetings that can drive business representatives forward.
