GlobalTags News Slovakia IT August 21 - 23, 2024 the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency participated for the first time in the Europe´s largest gaming conference, GAMESCOM 2024. At the event held in Cologne, which annually welcomes tens of thousands of experts and enthusiasts from the game industry, we had the opportunity to be part of the national stand organized by the Slovak Game Developers Association. Slovakia was represented at this event by a national stand, also for the first time.In total, 8 Slovak companies were presented at the stand. For SARIO, it was an excellent opportunity not only to present Slovakia as an attractive destination for foreign investors from this sector. GAMESCOM provided a platform to raise international awareness of the Slovak gaming industry, its talent, and its innovative potential. Our country offers strong IT infrastructure, highly skilled developers, and favourable conditions for developing new projects in the gaming field.The event opened new avenues for collaboration with global players and helped establish connections that could contribute to the further development of the gaming ecosystem in Slovakia, strengthen international ties and attract more partners who will contribute to the growth of this industry.In total, 1,462 exhibitors from 64 countries presented themselves at the fair. Overall, 335,000 visitors from 120 countries attended this year's GAMESCOM.
