Slovak-Serbian Business Forum

On November 9, 2021, the Slovak-Serbian Business Forum was held in Bratislava, organized by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency  (SARIO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This business forum was an accompanying event to the 10th Session of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation between the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Serbia. The event took place in the congress hall of the Park Inn hotel.

The official part of the forum was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the SR Richard Sulík and the Minister of Economy Andjelka Atanasković on the Serbian side. In their speeches, both emphasized the importance of mutual economic relations and the interest in further intensifying them. The introductory speeches were followed by a presentation of the investment and economic environment of the Slovak Republic, provided by Silvia Krošlak (SARIO), followed by a presentation of the investment and economic environment of Serbia, performed by Ana Žegarac, a representative of the Serbian Development Agency.

After the presentation part, the business forum continued with B2B negotiations. During this part of the event, 46 pre-planned B2B and B2G negotiations took place between 10 Serbian and 15 Slovak participants, during which the partners at the negotiating tables sought potential matches for business cooperation. In terms of sector focus, it was mainly mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy, renewable energy sources, innovation, but also chemistry and wood processing industry.
