The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Berlin and SIBB e.V. on April 24-27, 2023, a business mission to Berlin. 21 Slovak companies from the ICT sector, especially robotics, automation, digital transformation and digital healthcare were part of the delegation.A two-day program was prepared for Slovak companies, the aim of which was to present their solutions to German business entities and establish new contacts and partnerships. The business delegation in Berlin was also accompanied by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.On the first working day, the delegation took part in a tour of the largest technology park in Western Europe - Wista. The tour was followed by presentations of several successful companies based in this park and discussions with them. In the afternoon, Slovak entrepreneurs attended the Slovak - German business forum - Robots and Cobots, during which they heard interesting presentations by German companies focused on robotization and automation, followed by a demonstration of several robotic devices and networking.This business mission was scheduled during DMEA fair in Berlin, which was focused on the digitization of healthcare. Slovak companies had the opportunity to visit this fair on the second working day, during which they could establish contacts with foreign companies in the field of e-health, but especially participate in on-site B2B negotiations, which they could plan in advance. The business delegation also had a meeting with representatives of Germany Trade and Invest, an organization that provides support and services in the field of trade and investment for foreign companies.The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Berlin also organized an evening networking event for Slovak entrepreneurs: German-Slovak Networking Evening, which provided the Slovak delegates another opportunity to establish new contacts, or to develop already acquired contacts. The established cooperation between SARIO, SIBB and, last but not least, support from the economic diplomacy project scheme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic - gave Slovak entrepreneurs the opportunity to negotiate in an informal atmosphere with representatives of the private sector in Germany.The German reception was opened by the deputy ambassador together with the director of the foreign trade department SARIO, Mr. Zorád and well-established cooperation between SIBB and SARIO was also confirmed by the signing of a Memorandum of cooperation. The memorandum provides space for deeper cooperation between SARIO and SIBB.
