Location Bratislava On March 19, 2013, Roman Sabo, Head of Investment Projects Department of SARIO attended the prestigious Debate Forum of daily Hospodárske noviny (HN) on the topic inflow and realization of investment projects in Trenčín Region. Other participants in the discussion included Richard Rybníček, Mayor of Trencin, Ján Václav, Director of Trenčín Regional Chamber, Milan Šesták, Director of Emerson, a. s. and Peter Vavro, Editor-in-Chief of HN. The participants of the discussion implied in their speeches that Trenčín Region is the hot candidate for establishment of a a Japanese supplying components to the automotive industry. The fight for the investment of the Japanese company was not easy for Trenčín. "At stake were also the Czechs and the Poles. In addition, we fought for this investor also with Košice Region, "Richard Rybníček said in the debate. SARIO has been negotiating with the Japanese investor for a year and a half. Trenčín Region is historically the significant base of tme mechanical engineering industry. Industrial Park in Trencin is conveniently located near the highway and it grew even more attractive when the city won the lawsuit on land and clearly expressed its the pricing policy. Currently the Taiwanese company AU Optronics uses it. Thanks to this investment, the infrastructure, which is the main prerequisite of the industrial zone to compete for new investment, has been built.
