Turkey-Slovakia Business and Investment Seminar

The first day of the mission featured the Turkey-Slovakia Business and Investment Seminar, organized by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) in cooperation with the Slovak General Consulate in Istanbul and the partner organization, the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK).

The event organization, in collaboration with DEIK, followed up on the memorandum of understanding between SARIO and DEIK, signed earlier in February this year. The program included a presentation on the investment environment in Turkey (DEIK), followed by a presentation on the investment environment in Slovakia by SARIO (OIP, Nikola Kmecová). y a Success Story presentation from Coskunoz Holding, a company that established itself in Trnava in 2022 and beganproducing metal components for its main customer in 2023, also based in Trnava.

After the initial presentations, Slovak companies gave their own presentations, and the seminar concluded with B2B meetings between Slovak and Turkish businesses.

The following day, November 5, 2024, the program continued with visits to the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO - Istanbul Ticaret Odasi) and the company OTOKAR. During the meeting with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, the Slovak companies participating in the mission presented their activities. SARIO and the Slovak General Consulate introduced their services and discussed further steps for cooperation with the Chamber. The first step will be a joint webinar scheduled for early January. The entire delegation then visited OTOKAR, a company specializing in buses and defense vehicles. Slovak companies had the opportunity to present their products and services directly to the leader of the supplier department, and there was also an exchange of contact information.
