GlobalTags News Investments Foreign trade Brazil On October 20, 2023, the SARIO agency hosted a 25-member Brazilian delegation led by Mr. Renato Werner Victor de Queiroz, the Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Belo Horizonte. The delegation consisted of representatives from the municipalities of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais as well as Brazilian entrepreneurs from the food, engineering, and automotive sectors.The invited guests had an opportunity to listen to the presentation about investment and business opportunities in Slovakia, as well as information about the automotive sector. The representatives of the Slovak Chamber of Agriculture and Food presented the food industry in Slovakia. A representative of the law firm PRK Partners, explained the legislative procedure for establishing a company in Slovakia. During the open discussion representatives of Brazil were interested in the automotive sector – mainly why Slovakia is the largest producer of cars per capita. In the sugar processing sector, their questions were directed mainly to the representative of the SPPK (sugar export/import, food industry in SR).At the end of the meeting, the representative of PRK Partners answered questions about the legal establishment of the company in Slovakia and provided basic data on the different forms of business in Slovakia. He also discussed the conditions under which a foreign citizen can do business in Slovakia and in the EU. The event offered networking opportunities for Brazilian representatives of local governments and outlined new possibilities for cooperation and professional discussions on the above-mentioned topics. Although Brazil is distant from the Slovak market geographically, we perceive the trade and investment potential of both countries, which SARIO will continue to support and develop.
