Austria is one of Slovakia's most important trading partners, which is certainly due to the fact that Austria is our neighboring country and our capitals Bratislava and Vienna are located very close to each other.For these reasons, we decided to organize with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Vienna and the Austrian Business Agency a webinar for Slovak companies about this territory 'Online consultation days dedicated to Austria', which took place on December 3rd 2020 from 9.30. The webinar was created for Slovak entrepreneurs who are interested in learning more about the Austrian market, the effects of the pandemic on the Austrian economy and foreign trade with Austria, business opportunities and specifications in Austria, tax aspects, promising segments, opportunities to effectively search for an Austrian business partner and on intercultural differences in the business environment. Also, the representatives of the Slovak company PlanEat shared their experience with establishing a branch in Austria and establishing themselves on the Austrian market. In addition to the webinar, SARIO also organized individual online consultations during two days December 3rd and 4th 2020. Companies could sign up during the official web registration. Each consultation lasted 20 minutes and the companies had space for their specific questions tailored made to the conditions of the company, contacts were exchanged and the participants could agree on further cooperation. A total of 18 subjects without sector limitations participated in the webinar. The companies represented the following sectors: IT and innovation, construction, design and engineering, chemical, rubber and plastics industries, consulting, food, production, development and sale of industrial IT solutions, customer service, external call center sector, engineering, automotive production, aviation and healthcare, industrial and technical screen printing and energy. SARIO's interest is to organize online events during this challenging COVID-19 period of travel constraints in order to help Slovak businesses as effectively as possible to overcome the negative effects of the pandemic on their business and to provide as much useful information and contacts as possible.
