On May 24, 2017 the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) organized a second international co-operation event from the SARIO BUSINESS LINK 2017 series – Slovak Matchmaking Fair NITRA 2017 within the 24th International Machinery Fair in Nitra. The Slovak Matchmaking Fair NITRA 2017 has provided 84 companies with opportunities to present their production portfolio, establish new business contacts and interact with potential partners during 312 pre-planned B2B negotiations.The Spanish company GESTAMP, which announced the investment and the new plant for aluminum components at Nitra this year, used this opportunity for sourcing of its potential suppliers."The engineering industry has a strong position and tradition in Slovakia. By GDP creation or the potential to create new jobs it is one of the key pillars of the Slovak economy. I am convinced that today's bilateral negotiations will open new and tangible activities in the expansion of production-cooperation relations, especially during the period of the recession of the world economy, and will present one tool for its overcoming, " Robert Šimončič, SARIO CEO said in his welcome address.Expert Panel Discussion How Smart Industry Changes Traditional Engineering chaired by Martin Jesný with the experts in this topic: Alexei Beljajev (ZSP SR), Peter Pataky (Matador), Martin Morháč (Sova Digital) and Emil Fitoš (Atos IT Solutions and Services) . They discussed current topics: Effective operation of presses for lightweight materials in the automotive industry, As modern materials move welding to bonding, Automatic Linked Technology goes on in products and on lines, Data Management in Intelligent Engineering and along with audience discussed the needs of expert education of secondary school students and university students according to the needs of the economy and companies in Slovakia.The added value of the event was the presentation of projects by Slovak designers - BRUTAL sports mini-series car and the racecar STUBA GREEN TEAM, or a virtual training project from ATOS IT Services & Solutions.
